KUK – Tim Yates (Dec ’20)
Tim Yates is Kubota (UK)’s agricultural and ground care sales manager. He joined the company in 1999 as a sales administrator, after a short spell in the plant hire sector.
“I’ve always enjoyed working with machinery,” he says. “I do have an appreciation for the engineering that goes into making machinery.”
Tim progressed into field sales, bridging the gap between dealer and manufacturer, and spent time working within Scandinavian and Baltic dealers and importers with both agricultural and ground care equipment, before taking on a more local focus as dealer manager for ground care equipment in the midlands area.
After moving on to the role of product manager and then business development manager for ground care, he has recently embraced the entire agricultural and ground care portfolios.
“My latest role is a great opportunity to support our dealers and customers, with an enhanced level of product detail gained from over 20 years’ experience with Kubota,” he says.
Away from the office, Tim enjoys spending time with his young family. He also competes in rifle target shooting events at club and national level, and when time and good weather allows, Tim has a keen two-wheeled interest in the guise of a Kawasaki motorcycle.
