Meet Neil Scott…

Neil Scott is Kubota’s aftersales dealer manager for agricultural, groundcare and construction equipment, covering the Midlands, North West and Wales.

Neil’s role is focussed on adding value to the customer service experience by improving the relationship between dealer and customer, as part of Kubota’s ongoing dealer development programme.

With 11 years of industry experience, Neil previously worked for two Cheshire-based dealerships – the latter as parts manager for Cheshire Farm Machinery.

“I was always interested in tractors and machinery, even at school,” recalled Neil. “And after I completed higher education at Reaseheath College, I saw opportunities to progress through the trade working with high-profile dealerships. George Nowell was my aftersales dealer manager, and when he was promoted, I saw an opening to further develop my career by joining a manufacturer.”

Neil said that while he was initially sceptical about his chances of securing the role, his passion and enthusiasm shone through.

“I didn’t have a university background, though my dealership experience proved to be an advantage when joining Kubota,” said Neil. “And I also have an appreciation of what my dealers now expect from me, as an aftersales dealer manager.”

Away from work, Neil enjoys walking and cycling, and admits to having a keen interest in motorsports including the British Touring Car Championships, with frequent visits to his local racing circuit at Oulton Park.
