When it comes to making silage for his 500-cow herd of pedigree Stavilands Holsteins, Wiltshire farmer Henry Spencer, of JD Spencer & Sons, is focused on achieving high-quality silage with an ME of 12.
Kubota UK strengthens construction team with new appointment
Kubota UK, has signaled its intent for sustained growth with the appointment of a new product manager to its construction division.
Adrian Mann has joined the team as Product Manager, bringing with him thirty years of experience in the construction industry. Adrian started his journey within the construction sector at Marton Dump Trucks, refurbishing and reconditioning quarrying equipment, before beginning his seventeen-year career at Terex. For a large part of his time at Terex Adrian worked as Field Service Engineer, before becoming Product Specialist at the company in 2010, where he was responsible for managing and delivering the brand’s product sales training material globally, in conjunction with attending trade shows and conducting product demonstrations and prototype evaluation for six years.
Adrian commented: “Speaking to my colleagues at Kubota about the future of the brand and how they aim to progress as a company has given me a great feeling about taking on this new role. The way things are moving forward for Kubota within the construction sector is hugely positive and the company’s long-term plan is both really encouraging and exciting.”

Adrian’s responsibilities will involve pricing and evaluating each product’s position within Kubota’s construction portfolio, including new products entering the market, whilst also creating and maintaining product information documents and liaising with the marketing department to manage outward communications. Another aspect of his role includes attending trade shows and sales meetings, ensuring Kubota’s dealer managers and dealers have everything needed to maximise the promotion of Kubota construction machinery throughout the UK.
Adrian added: “One of the biggest challenges to my new position will be familiarising myself with Kubota’s extensive range of products, having worked with another brand’s machines for such a long time. This role has certainly taken me out of my comfort zone and ensuring my knowledge is at the required level will be a tough test, but it is one that I’m really excited to get stuck into.”
