A team of volunteers from tractor, groundcare and construction machinery specialists Kubota UK are raising the bar in a bid to pick up the coveted Mix96 Tour de Vale trophy.
Kubota L2 series
Kubota are well known for their range of groundcare machinery, particularly for their tractors which are built for premium efficiency, comfort and versatility. For demanding everyday tasks in the turf care sector, tractors need to be both reliable and hardworking in all conditions. Kubota prides itself on manufacturing machines that are exceptionally efficient, comfortable and with features such as 4WD and power steering as standard.
The new model from the Kubota L2 Series, the L2602, has the latest features for easier operation and greater productivity. Some of its key features include:
- Advanced technology for efficient operation, Kubota’s HST Plus provides optimal control and easy operation of both the hydraulic pump and the drive motor. Kubota’s HST Plus includes a lever to shift between high and low speeds in each range, with six speeds in total. There is also the option to set up automatic Hi/Lo shifting between the high and low speeds whilst on the move.
- The new Auto Throttle Advance feature links the HST pedal and the engine throttle, synchronising tractor speed and engine revolution. This not only makes the tractor easier to operate but also to navigate and help reduce fuel consumption.
- The HST response speed can be adjusted with a simple touch of a button. For tasks that require a quick response, there is the option to select a FAST setting, which is ideal for use during loader-related chores.
- The L2 Series also boasts a revolutionary Load Sensing If it detects a drop in engine RPM, it will automatically regulate HST pump and motor activity. With three modes to choose from, transmission operation can be adjusted to accommodate immediate needs.
The importance of a reliable machine with the power to deliver, is paramount for the demanding tasks in the ground keeping industry. Kubota’s Three Vortex Combustion System (E-TVCS) allows for increased airflow into the combustion chamber to produce greater power, efficiency and cleaner emissions. The new L2602 model features a Kubota Common Rail direct injection engine which delivers greater fuel savings and lower emissions, all whilst maintaining a high level of power and torque.
Adrian Langmead, Business Development Manager for Kubota UK Tractor and Groundcare, commented: “The new L2 Series is really making its mark on the groundcare industry. We at Kubota UK have been a sector leader for many years due to our unrivalled performance and comfort, but the latest L2 Series really takes this one step further.
“The L2602’s new engine reduces emissions to make the tractor compliant with stage 5 emissions regulations, whilst maintaining a high level of power and torque. Kubota UK continues to be a leading force within the groundcare industry and we will continue to build on this heritage and expertise to create first class machinery for years to come.”
Kubota Care – an extended warranty
An exciting feature also available with the L2602 is the new Kubota Care extended warranty. Customers now have the option to safeguard their tractors against unforeseen expensive repair costs for up to five years. A transferable service (dependent on a full dealer service history), the extended warrantee enables Kubota tractors to be maintained to the highest standards with genuine parts, serviced by Kubota-trained service engineers and maintaining the value of the machine.
