WR1600 and BV5160 bale and wrap 2,800 bales each season

Buckinghamshire farmer Nick Sear runs a WR1600 trailed wrapper alongside his BV5160 baler, to wrap around 2,000 bales of silage and 800 bales of haylage each season. His goal is to produce bales from 0.9 to 1.5m diameter to suit local equestrian customers, in addition to that needed for livestock at his assisted learning farm, Animal Antiks.

“The baler does make some really solid bales, that maintain their shape,” said Nick. “And with counterweights on the wrapper’s chassis, we’ve got great stability when picking up any of our bales on the loading arm.” Mr Sear added that the heavy-duty turntable wrapper’s two 750mm pre-stretch units are easy to load and feature a reliable cut and hold function.

“It’s a very easy machine to operate, and it doesn’t take long to put six layers of film on every bale.”
