Rocket Rentals’ Blue Kubota Set For Charity Hire

Chepstow Construction Equipment, a reputable dealer and supplier of new Kubota equipment, has supplied a limited edition KX057-4 mini excavator to Rocket Rentals, which will be hired out in aid of the Prostate Cancer UK Charity.

The specially painted blue machine has been bought in memory of a close friend of Simon Tomblin, Director at Rocket Rentals, and will be hired out for the charity in the forthcoming weeks, after it was showcased for the first time on Kubota’s stand at the Royal Welsh Show in Llanelwedd and has since made several appearances on the Kubota stand during their busy show season.

Chepstow Construction Equipment has kitted out the limited edition machine with transport, P.D.I, radio, beacon, cesar registration and quick release couplings, all free of charge. Attachments specialist Whites Material Handling supplied a quick hitch and a set of buckets also free of charge, whilst Kubota commissioned the painting of the excavator in blue at no extra cost. Trakm8 provided the machine with its telematics tracking device and Kubota Finance helped to put a workable finance package together.

Rockets Rentals is going to hire out the excavator and donate all the profit of the hire to the charity. In addition, the suppliers and customers who hire the machine will have their names permanently marked on the outside of the digger to commemorate their contribution to the cause.

The fundraising initiative is very important to Simon and Rocket Rentals as Simon’s close friend and Godfather, Brian Smith, who was also Director at Bison Plant Hire Ltd, recently lost his battle with prostate cancer. Simon hopes to raise lots of money for the Prostate Cancer UK Charity and spread awareness of prostate cancer as an issue within the construction industry.

Simon commented: “We are thrilled to be hiring out the one-of-a-kind blue Kubota excavator and donating a portion of each hire to the Prostate Cancer UK Charity. We are very grateful to the kind people at Chepstow, alongside Kubota, Whites Materials Handling, Trakm8 and Kubota Finance for their support in making this limited edition excavator possible, but also for acknowledging the importance of the occasion.”

Ian Whiting at Chepstow Construction Equipment said: “Rocket Rentals carry out fantastic work for the construction industry, and we are very pleased to be working closely with them and helping out with the charity hire of the mini excavator. We anticipate that this will be a popular campaign and we are equally confident that the hiring of the excavator will raise a significant amount of money for this great cause”.
