John’s decision to change to a Kubota M135GX tractor for brassica field work was based on a demo through local dealer Agricare and Kubota’s local reputation for reliability with glass house growers who wouldn’t use anything less!
JFS Produce based in North County Dublin are potato and vegetable growers to the wholesale trade. Owner John Fynes wanted a further tractor for vegetable field work, so hearing about Kubota’s reputation for reliability and quality from local glass house growers, decided to trial Kubota’s 135HP tractor – the M135GX from local Kubota dealer Agricare.
From harrowing, spraying or planting the MGX on row crop tyres is now constantly at work with Brassica crops, estimated to run more than 1000 hours a year.
John is particularly impressed with the tractor’s power and 4WD traction;
“I bought the tractor for mainly spraying and harvesting work …it may be one of our smallest tractors but it has plenty of power”.
In addition John was impressed by the M135GX’s unique Bi-Speed Turn feature citing the turning ability alone would make him buy another one.
“It has a powerful lock and it doesn’t trample our crops.”
