Matt Wilson is Kubota’s groundcare product and key account manager for the UK and Ireland.
Since leaving school Matt has been heavily involved in the groundcare sector, working with dealers, distribution channels and manufacturing.
“I’ve always enjoyed this sector,” he says. “And it took a short spell in a different industry to realise that my passion is with groundcare.”
Putting grass back beneath his feet, Matt has gained experience of amenity, golf and turf applications with two-stroke and four-stroke-powered products before joining Kubota, where he now has a broader portfolio to work with. That portfolio includes an extensive range of compact tractors, ride-on mowers, out-front professional mowers and battery-powered zero emissions machines.

When he is not working, this former golf player has turned to spectating at motorsports events, with a particular focus on Moto GP, plus spending time with his young family.
“Young kids are very demanding, which makes it important to spend time with your family,” says Matt. “Whatever we get up to at weekends, it’s a privilege to influence how our kids grow up and become part of an ever-changing society.”
