Jonathan Rook is Kubota’s agricultural and ground care dealer manager for the east midlands and Eastern counties.
Having spent all his working lifetime in the agricultural industry, Jonathan brings a wealth of experience to the role that he has held with Kubota for over four years.
“Before joining Kubota, I had been involved in our family dealership business since I was a teenager,” he says. “It was a tremendous grounding, with great opportunities to build relationships with customers, building their trust, and being considered as a key supplier for their businesses.”
Having made the transition from dealership to manufacturer, Jonathan now takes a much broader view, to gain a deeper understanding of regional variations for the industry’s machinery requirements.
“Service is king,” he says. “To develop and maintain a long-term relationship with customers, you need to understand their businesses and also be a good listener.”
Jonathan is a big rugby fan, and enjoys watching his local team, the Bedford Blues RFC, and playing out his dreams by encouraging his young son in both football and rugby activities. Not someone you could easily run away from Jonathan has completed the London marathon four times – twice raising money for charities.
