As Director of Golf, Jim is solely responsible for the course development for the 2010 Welsh Open and Ryder Cup championships at the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport, Wales. With a requirement for heavy duty drainage and dressing work Jim consulted his local Kubota dealer;
“Chris Hopkins at Ted Hopkins reviewed our requirements and recommended the Kubota M8540”
“With high expectations of the course from top international Players, it’s vitally important that have the right machinery to get the work done.”
With 30 dedicated full time ground staff, Jim’s team are hard at work to get the course completed on time and the M8540 has already completed all major drainage works and has been used to dress over 9000 hectares and is currently being used to prepare the ground for the building of the hospitality village.
“Using the low 6 crawl gear when pulling/operating the Blec Sandmaster – no problem at all. We get no marking the ground even when pulling 2-4 tonnes of sand.”
“As the tractor had been used through the worst of the winter – it’s important that my operator has a degree of comfort for long working days”.
