When Jamie Temple returned to the family farm in 2011, he looked at ways to boost operational efficiency, and it soon started with the arrival of a 135hp Kubota M135GX tractor.
RTV900 Mixed Farm, Shropshire
The Morgan family run a 182 hectare mixed farm, deep in the Shropshire Hills and have owned a Kubota RTV900 for over five years.
The RTV’s engine braking was one of the key reasons the Morgan’s changed from their previous utility vehicle particularly with the challenges of working on the farms hilly terrain.
“It’s very economical, it runs on red diesel and is easy to operate – you can just jump in and go,” commented Rob Morgan. “Also the dealer back up also has been excellent from Pallisers – they are very responsive and come out next day if we need them. And with 12 to 18 months of wet weather the RTV has still enabled us to get around everywhere on the farm no problem, without marking the ground too much.”
The RTV is used everyday around the farm, from moving sheep and cattle to new pasture, daily feeding or jobs such as fencing and provides additional mobility to Rob’s Dad enabling him to maintain an active role on the farm.

“The RTV has been really reliable and we’d definitely replace it with another in the future”
