Beef farmer, Barth O’ Leary rears 170 Friesian bulls from calf to finishing on a zero grazing system. He relies on his Kubota M135GX tractor all year round from cutting grass on steep ground and feeding during the winter with a zero grazer to mowing and baling work in the summer.

On the steep grasslands of dairy and beef farming country, North County Cork, Beef farmer, Barth O’ Leary rears 170 Friesian bulls from calf to finishing on a zero grazing system.

Barth relies on his Kubota M135GX tractor all year round, clocking up around 400 hours a year. The Kubota tractors is used from cutting grass with his zero grazer on the steep slopes of his 110 acre farm in the winter months to mowing and baling work in the summer.

Barth finds the M135GX great value with lots of features fitted as standard than extra in comparison to other brands.

The tractors 4WD and superior traction was a key selling point particularly important because of the farm hilly terrain. Barth has also been impressed with the excellent back up and service from local Kubota dealer of 30 years Atkins; “anything I need they come straight away”.
