KUBOTA TO LAUNCH ALL NEW V1505-CR-T DPF ENGINE AT INTERMAT, PARIS 2018

Kubota, the world-leading primary power-source manufacturer of industrial diesel, gasoline and LPG fueled engines will be unveiling its evolutionary new V1505-CR-T engine at INTERMAT, Paris 2018.

The new compact DOC (Diesel Oxidation Catalyst) & DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) equipped V1505-CR-T – like the other Kubota engines on display at the event – will be ready for EU Stage V and forms part of a burgeoning Kubota engine range on show at the event, intended to reflect the newly formed Business Unit Engine Europe division’s commitment to its growing European business.

The turbocharged V1505-CR-T is a vertical, water-cooled 4-cycle diesel engine. It can achieve a rated output of 33.0 kW (44.3HP) and a speed of 3000 rpm with a maximum torque of 118.5 Nm (87.4 lb-ft). It is 766mm long x 466mm wide x 686mm high (30.2 x 18.3 x 27.0 in), with a dry weight of 169 kg (373lb).

This new evolutionary development of an already widely popular engine platform will provide enhanced performance and greater value, particularly attractive for manufacturers of Construction and Municipal mobile equipment.

The new engine will feature alongside Kubota’s new 09 series at INTERMAT where the V5009 will be on display, in addition to the WG1903, a new 1.9 litre, 3-cylinder model designed specifically for use with Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), gasoline, natural gas and dual-fuelled capability.

The INTERMAT event also marks the formal first appearance of the recently-formed Business Unit Engine Europe. It reflects a newly-confident, outward-facing approach from the European business arm of the Japan-headquartered corporation as it evolves into a major global brand.

Daniel Grant, Marketing Manager of Business Unit Engine Europe, commented: “INTERMAT 2018 provides the perfect opportunity to present our new Power Solutions together under one roof, with our engineering and customer first expert knowledge. It allows us to stress our commitment not just to Europe and our customers, but to the wider environment”.

“It is appropriate that we offer a range of products that meet the needs of European OEMs, which are now at critical stages in product design and development in preparation for EU Stage V in 2019/2020,” he continued. “From DPF technology, through dual fuel solutions and to our experienced support network with its renewed emphasis on speed and flexibility, Kubota is in a prime position to provide an answer to whatever our customers’ questions may be.”

The V1505-CR-T will enter series production from 2020.
