Sales and Distribution Administrator FTC 12 months

The Kubota Corporation commenced operation in 1890 when Gonshiro Kubota set up the company to commence the design and manufacture of cast iron water pipes.  Since then the Company has grown to include many other products within four main sectors – Farm & Industrial Machinery, Water & Environmental Systems, Social Infrastructure and Other.

KUK is mainly a sales and distribution centre for Tractors, Groundcare and Construction machines as well as for Engines and Parts.  There is no manufacturing on site although there is some assembly work which takes place with some product.  Most product comes into the UK mainly from Japan, America and Europe.

Job Purpose

To support the sales administration team with material planning and scheduling.

To undertake all duties and responsibilities with the highest regard to health and safety of people, product and facilities.
To ensure that all Customer Service operations are conducted to ensure they provide the highest customer service in terms of general dealings with the customer, and delivery performance, in order to contribute in a positive manner to the overall customer experience.
To contribute to a robust communication process which is ‘fit for purpose’ covering both internal and external departments/individuals

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience

General office administration experience working in a busy sales environment
Excellent Customer Service skills
Will possess good numeracy skills and attention to detail.
Good working knowledge of Word/Excel is important
Effective Communication Skills
SAP usage or other ERP system would be desirable.
Team player, well organised, with the ability to work on their own initiative, prioritising to ensure all work is completed to the correct standards and timescales.
